In 1982 i was 18 and i was in Germany with the army.I was only their for two week’s and i wanted a tattoo.I found out where the local tattoo shop was and i was off.I remember walking into the shop and it really wasn’t much of one at that but being 18 and no time to spare before i had to leave i decided to look around.As i remember i wanted the biggest for my money but of course cool looking.
I decided on a green serpent on my right upper arm. For some reason i still think it looks cool but old.lol.Well i sat down and told the guy what i wanted, i don’t remember how he put the stencil on but i do remember this and that’s what im asking if anyone else remember these times. I sat down right after the guy before me and the tattooist rinsed off the tattoo machine in a sink,wiped it off with a towel that didn’t look to clean.Hey it was my third tattoo and who was i to know.Well,he looked at the design to see what color’s he needed, why waste good ink he just looked through the caps he had out and used what he could from them.Boy how times changed.
